Linn currently has a violin studio comprised of students of all ages, with whom she gives charity concerts twice a year at the Swedish Church in Paris.

Together they have raised money for Help Musicians Ukraine, Greenpeace, Amnesty International, The White Helmets Syria, Amazonart, the rebuilding of Notre Dame de Paris, The Chhanv Foundation (working with acid attack victims in India), SOS Méditerrannée, Restos du Coeur, Action Contre la Faim, L’Auberge de migrants, and Romanian orphanage Asociatia Don Orione.

Whether you are an experienced violinist, an adult beginner, or you are looking for a violin teacher for your child, you have come to the right place.

I have more than ten years of teaching experience, both in music schools, conservatoires and through my private studio. Over the years I’ve taught more than 150 violin students, aged 4 to 75, and many of them have passed the ABRSM exams with fantastic results.

I am fluent in French, English, and Swedish.

I am also a Timani teacher. Timani is a method to help musicians use their bodies in the best way possible while playing, and I make sure to integrate this into my teaching.

Testimonials

“Linn is fantastic. I would highly recommend her. My boys took violin lessons with her for 5 years right from the time we arrived in France till we left ! They made great progress and enjoyed learning with her throughout our time here. The summer and winter concerts she organizes with all her students gives us an opportunity to see the wonderful efforts put by her and the kids alike. She helped the boys with the ABRSM examination too. She’s professional, friendly and kind.”

“When you’re looking for a music teacher, you want someone who performs well, but most importantly teaches well. Linn excels in both areas. A patient and supportive teacher makes the difference between commitment, and long term consistent growth, and a passing phase that you’ll abandon after a while. Linn has a talent of focusing on grounding the human aspect first, and then using that sense of awareness to communicate through your instrument. You should definitely hurry now and try to get a class with Linn. Don’t wait, as her list of students seems to grow by the day! The other students I’ve met are all glad they did.”

Volunteering in Brazil

In 2012 Linn went to Brazil to volunteer as a music teacher for AmaZonArt, a charity organization set up to offer free musical tuition to vulnerable children in the Amazon region. During her time there she wrote a blog which you can find here.

If you are looking for a teacher who can make you play the violin with a smile, you have found her! My goal is always to make my lessons as inspiring as possible, to motivate my students to overcome technical difficulties and make divine music.

Besides learning to play the violin, you will also learn music theory, receive aural training, and learn how to sight-read.

Don’t hesitate to contact me for further information.

The hourly fee is 50€ and the lessons take place at my studio in Montmartre.
