Linn Lillsunde is a Swedish violinist based in Paris, France. She has performed with many different orchestras and ensembles, including l\u2019Orchestre de l\u2019Op\u00e9ra de Limoges, Orchestre Pasdeloup, and Open Chamber Orchestra, with which she has performed at numerous venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris and Salle Gaveau. <\/p>\n
A devoted chamber musician, Linn is currently in a duo with pianist C\u00e9cile Mathe. She has also been a founding member of the Lotus Quartet, in Sweden, as well as the Medusa Quartet and Vivace Piano Trio, both in London. As a chamber musician she has performed at venues such as The Berwald Hall and the Stockholm Concert Hall, Bloomsbury Music Festival, Mac Laren Hall, Regent Hall, Charlton House, Blackheath Halls and Leighton House. <\/p>\n
Since 2019 Linn is teaching chamber music to adult students with Accords Majeurs, Conservatoire de Chaville. Linn also has a large group of private violin students, aged 4 to 74, with whom she gives charity concerts twice a year at the Swedish Church in Paris. In 2015 she was invited to teach a public violin masterclass in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n
Diplomas and experiences<\/strong><\/p>\n Having always been fascinated by how musicians can best use their bodies while playing and singing, Linn has completed the 3-year Timani teacher training and is offering private lessons and public workshops. For more info, please visit the Timani page on this site. <\/p>\n Linn obtained her BMus degree in violin playing at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden, whereafter she moved to London to pursue her Master of Music with Mayumi Fujikawa at Trinity College of Music. During her time in London she took the opportunity to study jazz violin with Omar Puente, and baroque violin with Walter Reiter. She gained knowledge of Alexander Technique, and regularly held musical workshops for the elderly. <\/p>\n After having received her Master of Music degree and FTCL (Fellowship of Trinity College London) diploma, Linn started working as a Practice Supervisor at the Purcell School for Young Musicians, the oldest music specialist school in the UK. Two years later she was employed as a violin teacher and conductor with the Richmond Music Trust in south London, a post she kept alongside her private violin studio. At the same time she was a busy freelance violinist, playing with Young Musician\u2019s Symphony Orchestra, Arion Orchestra, London Arts Orchestra, St Paul\u2019s Sinfonia, Belsize Baroque Orchestra, among many others. <\/p>\n En 2012, Linn est all\u00e9e au Br\u00e9sil pour faire du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat en tant que professeur de musique pour AmaZonArt, une organisation caritative cr\u00e9\u00e9e pour offrir des cours de musique gratuits aux enfants vuln\u00e9rables de la r\u00e9gion amazonienne. She has worked as a violin teacher at \u00c9cole de Musique et d’Art Dramatique in Neuilly-Sur-Seine, and has lead a school string ensemble through the Conservatoire du 12\u00e8me arrondissement. Alongside her own teaching, Linn is being mentored by Richard Schmoucler, first violinist in Orchestre de Paris.<\/p>\n Linn is currently taking on new students in both violin and Timani.
